World Trade Center Metro Manila unveils expansion plans to support Philippine exhibitions

Strengthening the Philippines’ appeal as a gateway for foreign markets

World Trade Center Metro Manila (WTCMM) today announced its expansion plans, a strategic move backed by a P3 billion investment designed to increase capacity, meet rising demand from exhibition and event organizers, and reinforce the Philippines’ standing as a destination for world-class business events and trade shows. The expansion will scale total capacity to nearly 20,000 sqm of indoor exhibition space, while maintaining approximately 7,000 sqm of outdoor space for flexible outdoor set ups and activation.

The planned expansion responds to sustained demand from organizers whose events continue to grow in scale, complexity, and audience reach. As the country’s pioneer and premier exhibition venue, WTCMM already offers large, flexible event space and specialized infrastructure that support major trade shows, conferences, and large-format industry events, making additional capacity a timely and necessary investment.

With its halls frequently in high demand and its calendar often anchored by established annual exhibitions, WTCMM has also seen increasing interest from both local and international organizers seeking to mount events at the venue. The expansion will create more room for returning flagship shows, new market entrants, and larger international exhibitions that require scale, scheduling flexibility, and reliable venue capabilities.

“This expansion is an investment in the future of the Philippine exhibitions and events industry,” said Ms. Pamela D. Pascual, Chairman and CEO of WTCMM. “It reflects our confidence in the market, our commitment to helping our partners scale, and our determination to ensure that the Philippines remains competitive in attracting major regional and international events.”

More than just additional space, the expansion is envisioned to elevate the Philippines’ position as a competitive destination for international exhibitions and business events. With increased capacity and improved infrastructure, WTCMM is poised to welcome more foreign organizers, attract global trade shows, and further strengthen the country’s footprint in the regional and international MICE landscape.

The expanded facility will offer greater flexibility for large-scale exhibitions, multi-hall and function room configurations, and integrated indoor-outdoor event experiences, catering to the evolving needs of today’s event organizers.

In preparation for the 2028 opening, WTCMM will begin accepting advance bookings, giving organizers early access to prime dates and the opportunity to plan flagship events for the new expanded venue.

With this expansion, World Trade Center Metro Manila reinforces its leadership in the industry and its role in helping shape the next chapter of trade, exhibitions, and business events in the Philippines.
