The Power of GPUs

GPUs, or Graphics Processing Units, are specialized processors designed to accelerate the rendering of images and videos. However, their capabilities extend far beyond graphics. GPUs are now pivotal in the realm of artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML), where they handle complex computations at high speeds. This makes them essential for tasks such as data analysis, predictive modeling, and the training of AI algorithms. By leveraging the power of GPUs, businesses can achieve faster processing times, improved accuracy, and the ability to manage large datasets more efficiently.

Benefits of GPUaaS to ePLDT Customers

ePLDT’s GPUaaS will make AI more accessible to Philippine enterprises and the public sector, enabling them with faster and more secure access to data, and to harness the power of advanced computing without the need for significant upfront investments in hardware. This service will provide customers with scalable, high-performance computing resources that can be tailored to their specific needs.

VITRO Santa Rosa: The Home of ePLDT’s GPUaaS

ePLDT and HPE have signed a non-binding MOU, which includes a Proof of Concept activation of  an HPE Private Cloud AI which run on NVIDIA GPUs. This GPU infrastructure is housed in VITRO Santa Rosa, the first AI- and hyperscale-ready data center in the Philippines—a state-of-the-art site that will play a crucial role in the PLDT Group’s mission to provide the necessary infrastructure to fast-track digitalization across the country. This strategic move will further cement PLDT’s leadership in delivering future-ready facilities and enhance the nation’s technological capabilities.

ePLDT continues to lead the charge in the future of digitalization in the Philippines and the partner of choice for this offering will be pivotal in maintaining its market leadership.
