Investing in People, Strengthening Communities

From livelihood and education to workforce development, the ICCP Group is creating opportunities that strengthen communities.

As the ICCP Group grows its businesses across the country, it continues to invest in the communities where it operates. Through partnerships with government agencies, educational institutions, foundations, non-government organizations, and private-sector groups, the Group supports initiatives that create opportunities, build skills, and help individuals and families become more self-reliant.

Rather than treating community engagement as a series of one-off activities, the Group focuses on initiatives designed to deliver lasting benefits. These efforts span livelihood, education, workforce readiness, and practical programs that respond to changing community needs – reflecting the belief that sustainable business growth goes hand in hand with stronger, more resilient communities.

Creating Opportunities for Economic Resilience

One of the Group’s continuing initiatives is a livelihood program implemented by the ICCP Group Foundation, Inc. (IGFI) since 2018. Working with various partners over the years, the program has benefited close to 1,000 individuals, mostly community women, across areas where ICCP Group companies operate.

Partners have included Ang Hortaleza Foundation, Odyssey Foundation, Small Enterprise Education & Development, Inc., and Ernesto Yu Foundation. In Cagayan de Oro, IGFI began its partnership with Metrobank Foundation in September 2025, benefiting 240 solo parents and persons with disabilities.

Participants have established microenterprises ranging from sari-sari stores and rice retailing to poultry-related ventures, supported by training in business planning, financial management, marketing, and customer relations. Initial monitoring indicates that many participants are already generating an additional ₱600 to ₱800 in daily income from their businesses.

The program also includes mental health and psychosocial support activities, helping participants build confidence, manage challenges, and stay resilient as they pursue their livelihood ventures.

Building Skills for the Future

The Group also supports programs that help prepare workers for an evolving economy. Through the Quality Education and Skills Transformation for Workforce Development (QuEST WorkDev) program, employees of locator companies within Science Park of the Philippines, Inc. (SPPI) industrial parks have completed specialized training in additive manufacturing technologies.

The initiative began in October 2025 through a memorandum of agreement with the Department of Science and Technology and Unilab Foundation. It builds on the Advanced Manufacturing Workforce Development Alliance (AMDev), a five-year workforce development program implemented by Unilab Foundation with support from the United States Agency for International Development (USAID).

Through a series of capacity-building sessions, QuEST WorkDev equips manufacturing workers with technical skills that can support innovation, productivity, and competitiveness. To date, around 200 locator-employees have benefited from the training.

Education is another important pillar of the Group’s community engagement. In Cebu, approximately 1,300 employees of locator companies at the Cebu Light Industrial Park (CLIP) participated in a Fun Run for a Cause to raise funds for IGFI’s Tulong Pambaon Project. What began in 2011 with just four student beneficiaries has grown into a sustained education initiative, supporting nearly 200 students and graduates today.

Investing in People, Strengthening Communities

Beyond providing educational assistance to students from underserved families, Tulong Pambaon also brings employees and partner companies together in a shared commitment to creating opportunities and strengthening the communities where the Group operates.

Supporting Communities Where the Group Operates

Alongside its longer-term programs, the Group works with government agencies and community partners to address more immediate needs.

In Hermosa Ecozone Industrial Park, approximately 2,500 employees and residents benefited from the Bente Bigas program, implemented in coordination with the National Food Authority (NFA) and the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE). By providing access to subsidized rice, the program helped participating families manage household expenses and use their savings for other essential needs.

These initiatives reflect the many ways the ICCP Group works with its partners to create opportunities and strengthen communities. While each program responds to a different need, they share a common goal: helping people build the skills, confidence, and means to create more secure and resilient futures.
