2 pieces banana heart (puso ng saging)
4 cups water
2 tbsp. fish paste (bagoong)
½ cup vinegar
3 tbsp cooking oil
5 cloves garlic, crushed
1 medium onion, chopped
2 tbsp chopped ginger


1. Chop the banana heart then soak in water for an hour. Squeeze out the water from the chopped banana heart then place pieces in a bowl. Add fish paste and vinegar.
2. In a pan or wok, heat cooking oil then sauté the garlic and chopped onion. Add the ginger. Add the mixture of chopped banana heart. Mix well then simmer until tender.
3. Transfer to a platter and serve immediately.
