Riyadh Air Announces Ticket Sales to Bangkok as Network Expands Across Asia

Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, August 7, 2026 – Riyadh Air, Saudi Arabia’s new national carrier, today announced the opening of ticket sales for its three-times-weekly service between Riyadh and Bangkok, marking a key addition to its growing Asian network and its 14^th destination on sale, with more destinations set to be announced in the coming days and weeks. Commencing September 2, 2026, the route expands Riyadh Air’s footprint across Asia and creates a strategic connection between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and one of Southeast Asia’s most dynamic destinations, supporting the airline’s mission to connect major global hubs through Riyadh.

Riyadh Air will operate three weekly flights from King Khalid International Airport (RUH) to Suvarnabhumi Airport (BKK), departing Riyadh at 10:15 PM and arriving in Bangkok at 9:35 AM the following day, local time. The return service will depart Bangkok at 4:55 PM and arrive in Riyadh at 8:15 PM, local time. The route will be operated on Riyadh Air’s new Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners, featuring the airline’s latest cabin interiors and onboard experience.

Riyadh Air’s new three-times-weekly service to Bangkok reflects the expanding relationship between Saudi Arabia and Thailand, where travel is increasingly driven by economic partnerships and growing demand for leisure and wellness tourism. According to information shared at the Saudi-Thai Investment Forum in 2024, trade exchange between the two countries reached $7.5 billion in 2022 and approximately $9 billion in 2023, while around 200,000 Saudis travelled to Bangkok and more than 30,000 Thais visited Riyadh during the same period.

As Saudi Arabia’s capital and commercial hub, Riyadh offers visitors from Bangkok direct access to modern attractions, cultural landmarks and a growing economic landscape. Beyond point-to-point travel, the service positions Riyadh as a premier transport hub, offering seamless onward connections across Riyadh Air’s wider global network.
