Globe’s GFiber Prepaid continues to gain traction as the fastest-growing prepaid fiber brand in the Philippines, reaching 260,000 subscribers in the fourth quarter of 2024— an impressive 74% increase from the previous quarter.
This strong momentum underscores the rising demand for flexible and affordable prepaid fiber services among Filipinos and reinforces Globe’s strategy to expand reliable connectivity to more households.
Customer engagement and loyalty remain a strong driver of GFiber Prepaid’s growth, with reload rates reaching 78%, the highest among all prepaid brands. GFiber Prepaid also recorded a Net Promoter Score (NPS) of 68, higher than regional benchmarks, reflecting customer satisfaction and the positive experience it delivers.
GFiber Prepaid was instrumental in improving the performance of Globe’s broadband business. Broadband finally experienced a breakthrough in the fourth quarter of 2024, marking the first time in over three years that growth in the fiber segment outpaced the decline in legacy broadband services.
Broadband revenues rose by 2% and subscriber count expanded by 3% compared to the third quarter, demonstrating the effectiveness of Globe’s strategic transition to fiber and the sustained demand for prepaid broadband solutions.
Fiber services revenues increased by 2% and subscriber numbers went up by 16% in the fourth quarter. The widespread adoption of GFiber Prepaid again played an important role in this progress, driving a 13% year-on-year hike in fixed-wired subscribers.
