College graduates in the Philippines can now say goodbye to the long trips and queues just to secure their school documents. Through the newly launched Electronic Certification, Authentication, and Verification (eCAV) System, students and fresh graduates can conveniently access their diplomas, transcripts of records (TOR), and other academic certificates using the eGovPH Super App — anytime, anywhere.
President Marcos Launches eCAV System
President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. officially introduced the eCAV System during a ceremony held at the Cuneta Astrodome in Pasay City. He highlighted that this innovation is designed to streamline the process of acquiring academic credentials, which are essential for employment applications.
“Students and new graduates no longer need to travel far. With the eGovPH Super App, they can now secure their academic credentials conveniently for job applications,” President Marcos said during the event.
The eGovPH Super App is a mobile platform that integrates multiple government services, reducing the need to physically visit several agencies for transactions.
Key Features of the eCAV System
The eCAV System aims to make the process of obtaining school records faster, safer, and more efficient. Among its key features are:
- Online Payment Options – Users can pay the required fees digitally.
- Real-Time Tracking – Applicants can check the progress of their requests anytime.
- Status Notifications – The app provides timely updates on processing and approvals.
- Downloadable Copies – Students can receive and store their documents directly from their account or email.
Free CAV for First-Time Jobseekers
Under Republic Act No. 11261 (First Time Jobseekers Assistance Act), first-time job applicants are exempt from paying CAV fees, provided they submit a barangay certification verifying that they are seeking employment for the first time. This means graduates can get their needed documents for free if they qualify.
Additional Support for College Students
During the same event, President Marcos also emphasized the government’s commitment to helping students financially. He mentioned that full or partial tuition aid, subsidies, and reimbursement opportunities are available through the Unified Student Financial Assistance System for Tertiary Education (UniFAST) program.
The President urged implementing agencies to widen the reach of UniFAST, ensuring more students across the country can benefit from financial assistance and graduate ready to join the workforce.
A Big Step Towards Digital Governance
The launch of the eCAV System marks another milestone in the country’s digital transformation. By reducing the need for in-person visits, the program not only saves time and money for students but also encourages a more efficient and transparent process for academic verification.
