Globe’s installation of 199 new cell sites and the completion of at least 1,619 site upgrades in June and July 2021 have resulted in better call, text and data browsing experience for more than 640,00 Globe customers in strategic towns and cities across the country.

With Globe’s builds, customers in these areas have noted a 100% improvement in downloading videos, web browsing and in the speed of their connectivity while doing internet-related activities. The improvement of services likewise resulted in longer data usage of customers which increased by as much as 100% in areas where the latest network rollouts and builds were made.

“We bring the latest technology and services through our network builds and modernization despite the challenges of the different quarantine protocols brought by the pandemic. By pushing for the strategic builds and site upgrades, we were able to address the demands for connectivity not only in highly urbanized areas but also new locations where our presence is equally needed,” said Joel Agustin, Globe Senior Vice President for Program Delivery, Network Technical Group. 

Agustin added that the aggressive rollout and network builds paved the way for an additional 349,000 plus new subscribers and new mobile data/internet users who, likewise, expressed good network experience with Globe.

Customers in Cebu, Bukidnon, Misamis Oriental, Cagayan, Nueva Ecija, Pangasinan, Negros Occidental, Iloilo, Tarlac, Zambales and parts of Metro Manila topped the areas where significant improvements were felt. Customers in Davao del Sur, Bulacan, Benguet, Rizal, Qurino, Cavite, Isabela, Bukidnon, Misamis Oriental, Capiz, Antique, Negros Oriental and Davao del Norte–also reported an elevated customer experience.
