The Social Security System (SSS) is advising members, pensioners, covered employers, and the public that walk-in transactions will be suspended in its offices and branches located in areas declared under the Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ) from March 29 to April 4, 2021.
For the meantime, SSS encourages them to use the drop box system and online services in their SSS transactions.
Covered by the directive are its Main Office in Quezon City and all branches in the National Capital Region (NCR), Laguna, Cavite, Rizal, and Bulacan.
In line with the 6:00 PM to 5:00 AM curfew enforced during the ECQ period, SSS branches in the said areas will be open from 9:00 AM to 2:30 PM to accept transactions through its no-contact drop box system only. These are for transactions that are not available online.
Moreover, in observance of the Lenten Season, SSS branches nationwide will also be closed on Maundy Thursday (April 1) and Good Friday (April 2).
The SSS urges the transacting public to use its online service channels such as the My.SSS Portal of the SSS website at www.sss.gov.ph, SSS Mobile App, and Text-SSS at 2600.
Information about the pension fund’s mandatory online transactions and other online services are posted on its Facebook page at https://bit.ly/31wTXch and https://bit.ly/3tnW12c.
Likewise, various SSS payment channels are also posted on the said page at https://bit.ly/3lpPYaR.
This temporary restriction imposed by SSS for walk-in transactions and other measures aim to minimize the risk of exposure of the transacting public and its employees to the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).
The SSS assures its stakeholders that it implements alternative work arrangements to ensure the continuous delivery of its services.
