After two months of summer hang-up, opening of classes have been one of the things which bother mothers and makes kid excited too. We have prepared various “baon” recipes, recycling left-over foods or making a new twist in your regular baon ideas. We will be using some of the products like hot dogs, breads, and sweets for this back to school recipes.

Yummy Ham Burger
Ingredients:
1 cup sweetened ham of any products you like, minced
2 tbsp green bell pepper, finely chopped
2 tbsp carrots, finely chopped
2 tbsp onion, finely chopped
1 tbsp fresh parsely, finely chopped
¼ tsp salt
1/8 tsp ground black pepper
2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
1 pc egg, beaten
2 tbsp flour
¼ cup bread crumbs
2 tbsp cooking oil
2 tbsp butter
Procedure:
Combine ham, green bell pepper, onion, parsley, salt, pepper and Worcestershire sauce. Blend in beaten egg, flour and bread crumbs with hands or wooden spoon. Divide mixture into 5 portions and shape into burgers. Chill to set for at least 1 hour. Heat butter and oil in a large skillet over medium-low heat until hot. Fry ham burgers for about 5 minutes on each side. Drain on paper towels. Serve with toasted slit buns, if desired.
Makes 5 servings.
Ham Salad in June Buns
Ingredients:
2 cup cheese you desired, diced
1 pc celery, chopped
1 pc onion, finely chopped
6 tbsp mayonnaise
2 tbsp pickle relish
1 tbsp sweet pickle juice
1/8 tsp pepper
Salt, to taste
Hard-boiled
Egg, chopped
Lettuce
Soft rolls or pandesal, split
Procedure:
Combine all ingredients in a bowl. Season with salt to taste. Arrange lettuce on rolls; fill with the ham salad.
Makes 6 servings.
