Dsion StartUp Challenge 2018 Grand Finals, LineCare Reigns!

In search of the most promising startups in the country, five out of a hundred local startups went head-to-head for their pitch to be heard during the Dsion’s StartUp Challenge 2018 Grand Finals happened last November 24, 2018 at EDSA Shangri-La Hotel.

MANILA, November 2018 – From hundreds of entries, five startups stood in front for their pitch to be heard during the Grand Finals. LineCare dominated the competition declared as the Grand Winner bagging worth 500,000 pesos followed by the 1st runner-up, Cropital and the 2nd runner-up, PearlPay. The Consolation Prize winners were given to Tsuperito and Wagtales PH.

“It was very impressive that we’re able to hear the incorporators and the people from the startup companies how their concepts going and how the Philippine market being organized”, Dsion CEO, Seo Jongpil, said.

In the Philippines, numbers of startup company grows rapidly however, due to lack of investors and funds, struggle arises. Startups had always played an important role in the business world as it is helps increase the economic activities necessary for economic expansion. Aiming to promote and support promising startups in the country, Dsion, a support funding from Korea held its first ever startup competition last November 24, 2018 at EDSA Shangri-La, the Dsion Startup Challenge 2018.

As the competition comes to close, all winning startups will have a chance to have their businesses commercialized. Through the Startup Challenge, all rising startup companies, entrepreneurs, and other businesses had a chance to showcase their ideas as they aim for innovation.
