Regional cGMP training & seminar in Cebu

The Chamber of Cosmetics Industry of the Philippines (CCIP) and the Mandaue Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MCCI) successfully collaborated to conduct a Regional Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) Training and Workshop on Cosmetics and Household/Urban Hazardous Substances, at the City Sports Club, Cebu City.

The two-day event aimed to equip industry stakeholders with the latest knowledge on cGMP regulations and best practices. Experts from the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) shared insights on the revised ASEAN GMP and the latest updates on related laws.

A highlight of the training was the comprehensive “13 cGMP Modules” session conducted by CCIP’s own GMP expert, Ms. Grace S. Domingo, technical director at regitech consulting & services. Her in-depth knowledge and practical experience provided invaluable guidance to participants.

The collaboration between CCIP and MCCI underscores their shared commitment to promoting sustainable manufacturing processes and ensuring the production of high-quality products. As a testament to this partnership, CCIP president Christine Michelle Reyes and MCCI president Anthony Ynoc signed a memorandum of agreement during the event, formalizing their cooperation in advancing industry standards.

According to CCIP’s VP of professional development & education, Shirley Cayago, this is the second time CCIP is conducting a Regional cGMP Seminar in Cebu, and the first one in partnership with MCCI. VP Shirley is excited to extend the seminar to more regions across the country. She shares, “By expanding our cGMP workshop nationwide, we’re not just boosting the cosmetics industry, we’re empowering raw materials suppliers, manufacturers, brand owners, and distributors across the country and securing CCIP’s position as the industry leader.”
