The Globe Group has deployed various avenues of support, including free connectivity and medical aid, to help affected families across the country cope in the aftermath of destructive Tropical Storm Paeng.

Globe prepaid and TM customers in selected affected areas will get free SMS and UNLI calls to all networks for 1 day  so they can get in touch with loved ones. Globe At Home Prepaid WiFi users in affected areas, meanwhile, get free 5GB of data valid for three days.

Globe postpaid mobile and Globe At Home postpaid customers will be given extended bill due dates so they won’t have to worry about paying their bills in the meantime while still reeling from the effects of the storm.

Telehealth provider KonsultaMD is providing a free health plan for one month with unlimited redemptions using the code LIBRENGKONSULTA. They may also call (02) 7798 8000 and mention the code to avail of the free plan. Those in need of mental health support may also avail of one free support session with a mental health professional by using the code HEREFORU.

Globe has also activated donation platforms where customers may send help to storm-hit families.

“At this time when millions of our kababayans are in urgent need of help, we call on our customers to send life-saving support. We have made available several ways where they can easily do so, including using their Globe Rewards points,” said Darius Delgado, Head of Globe’s Consumer Mobile Business.

Globe customers may donate their rewards for as low as 1 point to their chosen beneficiary organizations, which will in turn bring relief support to those affected by Paeng.

To donate, go to the New OneGlobe app, tap “Redeem Rewards,” tap on “Donations” and choose the partner organization of choice: ABS-CBN Foundation, Ayala Foundation, GMA Kapuso Foundation, Rise Against Hunger Philippines, and Tzu Chi Foundation.

GCash users may also send help through the e-wallet’s donation platform #GCashGivesBack. To donate,  go to Pay Bills, choose “Others,” and choose #GCashGivesBack.

Proceeds will be sent to partner organizations ABS-CBN Lingkod Kapamilya,  Ayala Foundation, Caritas Manila, GMA Kapuso Foundation Inc., Philippine Red Cross, Save the Children, UNICEF, and World Vision.

Globe earlier prepositioned technical teams on the path of Paeng so it could readily launch ground efforts in case of storm-triggered network issues.

The company is also set to deploy Libreng Tawag, Libreng Charging, and Libreng WiFi services in affected areas.
