Provision of discharge kits with Santé products in NCR, Regions III, and IV-A hospitals
Pasig City, Philippines – [July 13, 2022] – A person’s healing does not stop after being discharged from hospitalization. As a rule of thumb, it takes one week to recover for each day you spend in the hospital. A patient must be looked after at home to fully recover from illness or post-hospital syndrome, such as fatigue, reduced muscle strength, foggy thinking, and other discomforts.
That is why Santé, a premier natural and organic health and wellness product and services provider, propelled its initiative to help every patient in their recovery journey and live a healthier lifestyle by providing them with recovery kits that included Santé product samples.
The first run of the initiative was completed last October to November 2021 and February this year. Santé has distributed 5,000 kits containing Santé Barley MaxNZ, Sweet Via, and Barliccino to discharged adult patients of 17 hospitals in Metro Manila and the Regions III and IV-A.
These hospitals included the government DOH-specialty hospital Philippine Heart Center and other private health institutions such as FEU-Dr. Nicanor Reyes Medical Foundation, Inc., Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Cardinal Santos Medical Center, Dr. Victor R. Potenciano Medical Center, Capitol Medical Center, Inc., Las Piñas Doctors Hospital, Inc., Commonwealth Hospital and Medical Center, Dr. Fe Del Mundo Medical Center, Manila Med, Mary Johnston Hospital, Pacific Global Medical Center, San Juan De Dios Educational Foundation, Inc., World Citi Hospital and Medical Center, Dr. Jesus Delgado Hospital, Mary Chiles General Hospital, and San Mateo Medical Center. ,
Santèkicked off its initiative’s second run aiming to reach more outpatients. From March to November of this year, Santé intends to give 20,000 discharge kits with Santé Barley MaxNZ and Sweet Via to recharge patients of 40 hospitals. Last March, patients from FEU-Dr. Nicanor Reyes Medical Foundation, Inc., St. Luke’s Medical Center-Quezon City, Medical Center Taguig received Santé kits.
“Transition care is vital to every patient after being discharged from the hospital, that is why we want to support them in the next steps of their recovery journey. We believe that Santé Barley MaxNZ, Sweet Via, and Barliccino can help them recover, regain their strength and encourage them to pursue a better, healthier lifestyle,” shared Joey Marcelo, chief executive officer of Santé.

Giving a healthy treat
On the other hand, Sweet Via is made of Stevia, a natural substitute for sugar, obtained from the leaves of a small perennial green shrub. This plant has shown medicinal properties that are anti-diarrheal, anti-tumor, diuretic, anti-inflammatory, and immunomodulatory actions. Stevia helps to reduce high blood sugar levels and high blood pressure.
Sweet Via also contains inulin, a natural soluble dietary fiber from a chicory plant, for digestive health. It assists in easing constipation, is good for weight loss, and aids in controlling blood sugar levels.
For a healthier kind of coffee
Meanwhile, Barliccino has the perfect blend of Santé Barley grass that compliments the cappuccino’s sweetness and delicate earthy taste. Because it is mainly sweetened using Stevia, each serving contains a minimal amount of sugar (1.63 grams) than a regular instant coffee. It is a healthier alternative because of its low-calorie content (52 calories) and non-dairy creamer.
Mixed with the goodness of Santé’s organic pure barley grass, Barliccino offers a healthier choice since barley grass is an effective antioxidant and rich in vitamins and minerals that help detoxify the body and keep the digestive and immune system healthy.
