Globe has completed its network upgrade in Baler, Aurora and Donsol in Sorsogon Province to full 4G LTE. With the completion, the company is encouraging its customers in the said areas to update their 3G SIM cards to 5G-ready 4G LTE SIM. Starting April 6, 2021, Globe will start using 4G LTE technology as the new standard of mobile data in the area.
All Globe customers in Ogod, Dikildit, Dianawan, Barangay ll (Poblacion), Barangay lll (Poblacion), Dancalan, Macalaya, Poso Poblacion and Dao in Donsol, Sorsogon and in Zabali, Diteki, Reserva, South Poblacion and Suclayin in Baler, Aurora can start experiencing and take advantage of faster internet by using the new technology.
“We highly encourage our customers who continue using a 3G SIM to update their SIMs to 4G LTE to have a better internet experience. With the internet now an essential need, we want our customers to have a much better data experience,” said Joel Agustin, Globe Senior Vice President for Program Delivery, Network Technical Group.
Globe customers in Donsol and Baler can go to any Globe store to update their SIMs. Upgrading to 5G ready 4G LTE SIM card is FREE and customers get to retain their existing number.
