Globe’s efforts to restore mobile network services in Leyte and Southern Leyte are 50% complete. This includes 41 municipalities and cities in Leyte, and 5 towns in Southern Leyte. Globe’s field teams are working 24/7 to bring communications facilities back following the devastation caused by Typhoon Odette.
More towns are seeing significant progress in repairs. In Cebu, 20 areas are now restored. GoWiFi facility is also up and running in Mactan Airport with open access to all users.
Earlier, Globe restored services in the whole of Samar, Antique, Biliran, Capiz, Guimaras, Iloilo and Siquijor.
Globe, through the help of local government units have made it possible to hasten restoration efforts across different provinces hit by typhoon Odette.
Customers can now convert their data into donations and help communities affected by Typhoon Odette through GOMO. From December 29, 2021 up to January 15, 2022, GOMO customers can convert their data into the following donation amounts 1GB = P10, 5GB = P50, and 10GB = P100 through GOMO’s ‘Mo Creds feature. Donations will be used in the relief efforts of Ayala Foundation Inc., GMA Kapuso Foundation, or Rise Against Hunger Philippines.
Donation channels through the New GlobeOne and GCash apps are still open. To access the #GCashGivesBack QR Codes of partner-beneficiaries, those interested may access these through this LINK.
