Globe At Home is upgrading older broadband technology of its qualified serviceable customers for free to high-speed, fiber lines which will provide reliable, stable and faster internet connectivity amid the ongoing pandemic.

Those eligible for the free upgrade are current Globe At Home customers who are within accepted credit standing and are located in areas that are serviceable for the upgrade. Customers will be advised by a Globe At Home representative through SMS or email once their location is serviceable with fiber technology.  Customers may also apply at http://glbe.co/TechUpgrade. A Globe representative will confirm their eligibility between 48-72 hours.

Fiber is able to provide near-equal upload and download speeds and the ability to connect more devices without noticeable lags, allowing family members to use the internet at the same time.

Globe places importance on investing and expediting its fiber builds, targeting one million fiber lines this year, to better serve the growing internet usage needs of their customers. Doing so allows Globe At Home to offer enhanced at-home connectivity experience for its current customers by upgrading them to fiber technology once available in their area. This has resulted in a 250% increase in upgraded Postpaid customers in the first half of 2021, compared to the same period in 2020.

Customers have been responding positively to Globe’s tech upgrades. One customer said, “Since the day that the new modem was installed, I found it easy to connect online, watch movies, send files faster, upload or download files compared to before. Thanks for these great undertakings. Satisfied Globe customer here. Keep up the good work.”

While another said, “At this time of crisis, I would say everything that is given free of charge is a treat. Thank you, Globe!”

“With fiber, Filipinos can stay more connected to each other and the world. Fiber presents numerous advantages and it is our endeavor to bring this to more Filipino homes as soon as possible,” said Barbie Dapul, Vice President for Marketing of Globe At Home.

“The pandemic has further underscored the necessity for high-speed internet in Filipino households. Despite the recent surges and reimposition of stricter lockdowns, we continue to roll out fiber lines and upgrade our subscribers to this latest technology so that families can make the most out of the internet, whether for pleasure or productivity,” Dapul added.

All these free tech upgrades and customer service perks may be experienced from Globe At Home. For plan changes, customers also may go to http://glbe.co/TechUpgrade or use the Globe At Home App, available to download on Google Play for Android devices and App Store for iOs devices.
