Due to the recent earthquakes and the increasing number of influenza-like illness cases, several local government units and schools have announced the suspension of face-to-face classes for Wednesday, October 15, 2025. Below is the updated list of areas and institutions affected by the suspension:
REGION IV-A (CALABARZON)
- Alitagtag, Batangas – All levels, both public and private (including ECCC and ALS), will shift to modular distance learning.
- Cavite Province – All levels, public and private, no face-to-face classes from October 15 to 18.
- Laguna Province – All levels, public and private, no in-person classes until October 31; alternative learning modes will be implemented.
- Rizal Province – All levels, public and private, no face-to-face classes until October 17; shift to modular distance learning.
REGION X (NORTHERN MINDANAO)
- Gingoog City, Misamis Oriental – Suspension of face-to-face classes in both public and private schools until further notice.
REGION XI (DAVAO REGION)
- Davao Oriental Province – Public schools will suspend face-to-face classes until further notice.
- Mabini, Davao de Oro – All levels, public and private, no classes until further notice.
- Mawab, Davao de Oro – All levels, public and private, no face-to-face classes until further notice.
- Monkayo, Davao de Oro – All levels, public and private, no classes.
- Montevista, Davao de Oro – All levels, no classes until further notice.
- Nabunturan, Davao de Oro – All levels, public and private, will shift to asynchronous learning until further notice.
SCHOOLS
- University of Santo Tomas (UST) – All classes and office work are suspended across all levels until October 16, 2025.
