The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) has announced that all online businesses must register for the E-Commerce Philippine Trustmark before the September 30, 2025 deadline. What Is the E-Commerce Philippine Trustmark?

The E-Commerce Philippine Trustmark is a digital badge that serves as a visible guarantee of an online merchant’s credibility. It shows that the business complies with government standards on data privacy, business transparency, and consumer complaint handling.

This move is part of Republic Act 11967, also known as the Internet Transactions Act of 2023, which created a legal framework to regulate online transactions and protect consumers. Under this law, buyers can file complaints and even pursue damage claims through the DTI E-Commerce Bureau or in court if an online seller fails to deliver or violates consumer rights.
