The Social Security System (SSS) has lengthened its Call Center operations from 16 hours to 24 hours every weekday to give members more access to over-the-phone updates about their contributions, benefits, loans, my.sss account and other SSS transactions.

SSS President and Chief Executive Officer Emilio de Quiros, Jr. said that with longer call center hours, members regardless of their time of work can contact the SSS about their claim status, membership data, list of requirements and other SSS concerns by dialling 920-6446 to 55.

“Local employees with regular 8-to-5 work hours, security guards and call center agents on graveyard shifts, and even overseas members in different timezones can all find a time convenient for them to make an SSS phone query from Mondays to Fridays,” de Quiros said.

He noted that the SSS Call Center receives over 46,000 calls every month, majority of which are from members verifying the status of their contributions, benefit claims, salary loans and application for the Unified Multipurpose Identification System (UMID) card, which is the current SSS ID.

“Apart from status verification, our team of 25 member service officers also responds to queries on procedures such as how to apply for benefits and remit contributions. We also receive phoned-in information about employers that don’t remit SSS premiums and other complaints,” he added.

The 24-hour SSS Call Center is the agency’s latest enhancement in its array of round-the-clock service facilities that includes the SSS Website (www.sss.gov.ph), Text-SSS (send “SSS” to 2600), and the Interactive Voice Response System (IVRS), in which members follow computerized voice instructions to get answers on basic queries.

“Whether they are using the IVRS or the SSS Call Center, members must be ready with their SSS number before calling because we need that to check their records. We also advise members to call us first about SSS procedures and list of requirements so that we can immediately accept their applications when they go to the SSS branch,” de Quiros said.

The IVRS hotlines are 917-7777 (Metro Manila); 446-5902 (Baguio); 982-8739 (Tarlac); 562-9289 (San Pablo); 472-9795 and 472-8842 (Naga); 234-2053 (Cebu); 227-7273 (Davao) and 992-2014 (Zamboanga). Globelines subscribers nationwide can call up 917-7777 toll-free.

The SSS Call Center operates from 7:00 am on Mondays all the way to 7:00 am on Saturdays. It is closed on weekends and on holidays.

I want to complain as well the employee of SSS Bacolod sitting in counter H for ID capture, her name is Lezlie Querite or Quebite, this employee has the worst customer service ever.I amended my ID because of status changed and unfortunately I was assisted by this employee. Matuto kang gumalang kasi you are representing SSS,you should know your vision and mission.Sad to say may mga taong nagtatrabaho sa gobyerno na katulad mo.Hindi ka bagay sa trabaho mo.Sana mabasa to nang boss mo.You are disrespectful and rude.
