Anticipating the impact of the monsoon season to internet connectivity on top of the ongoing global health crisis, Globe At Home strengthens its proactive measures to minimize the effects of inclement weather and keep customers connected. The telco has recently revealed that it has successfully rolled out over 600,000 high-speed fiber lines in H12021, surpassing its FY2020 builds.

But more than their aggressive build efforts, Globe At Home has also implemented programs for repair and maintenance checks of facilities keeping in mind the safety of both its customers and its technicians.

“Globe aims to keep customers connected and enjoy the service we provide. We are proactively taking measures to ensure that we continue to deliver our broadband services, remotely and on field, making sure that our facilities are working properly to service our customers’ online needs regardless of the rainy season or level of quarantine restrictions implemented by the government,” said Margaret Dizon, Globe Vice President for Customer Field Services, Broadband Business.

Some of the measures that Globe At Home put in place include an increase in its technician partners, mandatory enforcement of COVID-19 safety protocols, and utilizing all remote means possible to address the concerns of its customers.

Early this year, Globe At Home increased its accredited install and repair teams by about 80%. It also encourages customers to maximize its digital channels like the Globe At Home app to file requests to restore internet connections in affected areas.

This is to help manage delayed visitations during inclement weather to avoid possible electrocution of employees and is also an alternative viable solution should customers be in need of any technical assistance. Customers may place their service requests through the Globe At Home app which will be recorded with reference numbers for easier monitoring.

The Globe At Home app is available to download from Google Playstore for Android devices, App Store for iOS devices, or through this link: https://glbe.co/GAHapp

As part of its mandatory measures, Globe At Home also assures its customers that the company’s field personnel and authorized technicians strictly follow COVID-19 safety protocols, including daily health checks, wearing of personal protective equipment (PPEs) and rain gears, and standard sanitation and hygiene.

Globe strongly supports the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, particularly UN SDG No. 9, which highlights the roles of infrastructure and innovation as crucial drivers of economic growth and development. Globe is committed to upholding the United Nations Global Compact principles and contributing to 10 UN SDGs.
