Globe continues to optimize available spectrum to increase 4G coverage and capacity to address growing demand for connectivity and wider coverage.

Since starting the migration to better technology last year, Globe has updated its network in all cities and municipalities in Metro Manila; 14 cities and towns in Rizal; 24 cities and towns in Bulacan; 13 areas in Cavite; and three cities in Laguna.

In Visayas, at least eight cities in Cebu shifted to LTE also along with Iloilo City, Bacolod City, the island of Boracay, as well as Davao City and Cagayan de Oro City in Mindanao. 

The company will also implement its shift to 4G LTE in the remaining  areas of Cebu, Davao del Sur, Davao del Norte, Pampanga, Batangas and the rest of Laguna starting next month.

Globe is going full blast with its migration program, eyeing more locations in  Davao del Norte, Davao del Sur, Bataan, Nueva Ecija, Pampanga, Pangasinan, Tarlac, Zambales, Batangas, Laguna, Aklan, Antique, Capiz, Guimaras, Iloilo Province, Negros Occidental, Negros Oriental, Siquijor, Bukidnon, Misamis Oriental, Abra, Apayao, Apayao, Batanes, Aurora, Benguet, Cagayan, Ifugao, Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, Isabela, Kalinga, La Union, Mountain Province, Nueva Vizcaya, Quirino, Marinduque, Occidental Mindoro, Oriental Mindoro, Palawan, Quezon, Romblon,  Biliran, Bohol, Leyte, Southern Leyte, Camiguin, North Cotabato, Davao Occidental, Lanao del Norte, Lanao del Sur, Maguindanao, Misamis Occidental, Sarangani, South Cotabato, Sultan Kudarat, Zamboanga del Sur, Zamboanga del Norte, Zamboanga Sibugay, Albay, Camarines Norte, Camarines Sur, Catanduanes, Masbate, Sorsogon, Eastern Samar, Northern Samar, Western Samar, Agusan del Norte, Agusan del Sur, Basilan, Compostela Valley, Davao Oriental, Dinagat Islands, Sulu, Surigao del Norte, Surigao del Sur, and Tawi-Tawi.

Since last year, Globe has been actively pushing for its customers to upgrade their old and obsolete 3G devices and SIM cards to 5G-ready 4G LTE SIMs to fully enjoy the benefits and advantages the new technology brings.
