Globe’s unprecedented network builds will intensify further throughout the year as it remains focused on customer satisfaction.

The company’s P70 billion capital expenditure program for 2021 aims to broaden access to advanced technologies and create a significantly better data experience for the Filipino.

“The driving force behind our vigorous network improvements are our customers, and we have been putting in much effort to ensure that our products and services are relevant to our customers across our mobile and broadband services,” said Issa Guevarra-Cabreira, Globe’s Chief Commercial Officer.

Globe already has the widest 5G coverage in the Philippines, while its nationwide 4G LTE upgrade across all cell sites has made the advanced technology more pervasive nationwide. In addition to regular telco services, the company also continues to offer new innovations in digital finance and health services that are designed to help customers cope with the effects of the pandemic.

Like the now indispensable GCash mobile wallet for instance, Globe’s HealthNow has become a dependable and hassle-free tool that bridges patients and healthcare services in one easy-to-use app, providing convenient doctor consultations and an easy way to buy medicine online.

“On the pricing side we remain very competitive, and more importantly, we remain anchored on the most relevant needs of the customers to make sure that our services suit the rapid changes in their lifestyles. We are always there, making sure we are reliable and consistent as we guide them through these most challenging times,” Cabreira added.

Globe’s continuous efforts to improve its network performance have resulted in more affordable and faster internet services for its broadband customers. In the last four years, the prices per gigabyte (GB) of all Globe broadband services such as Globe At Home Prepaid WiFi, wired Globe At Home Postpaid, and Globe at Home Postpaid LTE have in fact gone down by more than 60%.

“We’ve been on a mission to keep getting better, and it is both our network and our customers that we continue to obsess about as our primary focus at Globe,” stressed Cabreira.

Globe has laid out a 3-pronged strategy for its network upgrades and expansion, which includes aggressive cell site builds; upgrading its cell sites to 4G/LTE using many different frequencies; and fast tracking the fiberization of Filipino homes nationwide.

The company champions the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDG), specifically UN SDG No. 9 which recognizes the importance of infrastructure and innovation as crucial drivers of economic growth and development. Globe has vowed to uphold the 10 United Nations Global Compact principles and 10 UN SDGs.
