Flooring is something that everybody will require at some time or another, and because it is such a ubiquitous need, a platform such as social media is brilliant for attracting new business and letting people know how great you are. If you run a flooring company and you are looking for ways to generate extra business, then it’s time that you got yourself on Facebook and Twitter – it won’t be long before sales figures go through the roof! You have probably already got accounts with all the major social media players, but are you making the most of them? Review Your Social Media Status

The first thing that you need to do is have a look at your social media platforms and review the way that they are working for you. For example, have a look at your Facebook account – how many likers have you got? What could you do to increase the amount of likers? Consider sharing updates, asking your friends to share your page, and generally being more active in order to generate more interest. As far as Twitter goes, could you follow a few more people? You could also consider posting a tweet that briefly says what you do and what you offer, and asking your followers to re-tweet it. If you are going to start being more active on social media, then it will really pay off to get a few more followers or likers first. That way you will be reaching far more people.

Get Active

The next thing that you should do is start being far more active on your social media platforms. This doesn’t just mean advertising what you do – it also includes interacting with people, getting involved with discussions and debates and commenting on other people’s statuses. A little bit of benevolence goes a long way of Facebook and Twitter – so if somebody shares your information and therefore generates you more interest, then consider returning the favor. It is important to remember that you don’t have to do this yourself – if you are not personally a fan of spending a lot of time on the computer, appoint somebody else within your company to take charge of your social media presences.

Run Competitions

There is nothing like a competition to spark interest amongst your followers, so once a month consider running a prize draw or something similar. Reward the winner with a prize such as a free carpet or free carpet fitting, and ask everybody that participates to share the competition with their friends so that it reaches the highest number of people. You can also use Facebook and Twitter to spread the word about special offers, discounts and promotions.

Social media is a very powerful tool when it comes to attracting new business for your flooring company. You can’t afford to miss out on all that it has to offer!
