The Social Security System (SSS) has partnered with Citibank for the electronic release of short-term benefits and loan proceeds through a special cash card as a faster, safer and more efficient alternative to check issuance.

Photo shows SSS President and Chief Executive Officer Emilio de Quiros, Jr. (2nd from left) shake hands with Citibank’s Mylene Caparas (2nd from right), Managing Director and Citi Transaction Services Head, after they signed the agreement on the Citi Prepaid Card for SSS Salary Loans and Benefits last June 5 at the SSS corporate headquarters in Quezon City. The pension fund expects to start issuing Citi Prepaid Cards to members this year. Also present were (from left) SSS Vice President for Benefits Administration Agnes San Jose and Citibank Managing Director for Corporate and Investment Banking Usman Ahmed.
